Recently the DALPUMPS team carried out works as part of a 6-month service contract at a school in Rutland. These works were essential to help ensure the continued efficient operation of the school’s infrastructure. This comprehensive project involved remedial works on several pumping stations located across the school site.
Identifying Issues:
During our initial assessment, it was evident the one of the motors was low on insulation test and nearing the end of its service life. Additionally, the existing brackets were found to be rusty and in need of replacement. These integral components are essential to maintain the reliability and efficiency of the system.
Expert Solutions and Upgrades:
To address these issues, DALPUMPS installed two new pumps, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Alongside the new pumps, we replaced the old, rusty brackets with new, durable ones. These upgrades are crucial for maintaining the efficiency of the pumping stations and preventing future disruption.
Minimising Disruption:
Understanding the importance of minimal impact on school activities, the works were scheduled to be carried out during the half-term break. This timing allowed us to complete the necessary upgrades without impacting on the daily operations of the school.
Continued Efficiency:
The benefits of a pre-planned maintenance of the pumping stations on a six-monthly basis means DALPUMPS can assess and rectify potential issues before they become more costly and have an impact on the school’s day-to-day activities.
Planning these works during quieter periods or during half-term breaks means works can be carried out efficiently, leaving the school with a fully functional system before schools reopen.
