Having the addition of young children on site can often be more problematic when conducting work involving open drains. Children are naturally inquisitive and keen to find out what is going on so work can often take place with an attentive audience. Despite all our drainage engineers being fully DBS checked as standard we try to encourage customers to utilise time wisely.
For many schools, the long break over the summer holidays provides the perfect opportunity to get drainage work booked in and completed. Whether this is routine works or new site inspections and surveys it is usually the most effective option.
Making the most of the time.
DALROD Luton are taking advantage of this time currently (as we are in the middle of the holidays) with their recently planned works at a local Luton school.
The team have been involved in some regular maintenance work on site, including conducting a CCTV survey at this school. The CCTV survey allows the DALROD engineers to see under the ground and check the condition of the pipes for cracks and blockages. This service is ideal for giving the customer a clear picture of what is happening within their drainage system.
The team also have to replace four manhole covers that have rotted over time and could become unsafe, plus they are doing some general unblocking of the drains. Additionally, they have some additional repairs scheduled to take place in the following weeks.
All this work is made much easier for the team to complete while the site is vacant of students during this time.
