Recently DALROD Chelmsford & Southend and DALROD Maidstone teamed up at the Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
A Big Job
Hospitals are notoriously large facilities and accessing the drains can be tricky for our vans and service vehicles. The work involved the team cleaning out the waste disposal drains underneath the site. Because this was such a large job it required the extra manpower of two technicians rather than one.
A hospital of this size will be relying on their drains to carry away vast quantities of wastewater. Consistent use from the laundry, canteen, toilet facilities and wards can all add to the daily pressures imposed on the system.
With such a large and heavily used network, it is important to have regular cleans to prevent any unwanted build ups or blockages in the drains themselves.
Prevention is Key
Emergencies can occur at any time, however many of these are preventable with regular maintenance like this.
A full clean and jetting of the drains was performed to ensure they were running effectively, leaving no nasty surprises lurking beneath the surface.
