DALROD are delighted to be moving into another new service area, with the launch of our Bath & Swindon Service Centre. 

The Bath & Swindon service centre will be directed by James & Mandy Kelly. James has 23 years of experience in the landscaping industry, he spent ten years as a commercial manager and was also a managing director in a previous company. James certainly brings a vast amount of managerial experience to the DALROD team.

James and Mandy heard about DALROD through a friend, after looking into opportunities to own their own business. They met DALROD General Manager, Jon Kynaston, who made them feel very comfortable and showcased the ethos of the company’s values.

“Jon was relaxed and extremely knowledgeable. Everything he said was what we were looking for in an opportunity to start our own business. I think we’re much more suited to the family ethos than a huge corporate company, and DALROD certainly ticks that box.” James said.

James and Mandy had a good amount of time to plan and consider how they want their business to look and now have a clear plan of where they want the business to go over the next few years. 

“We have a ten-year plan, to grow the business as quickly as we can. But the biggest thing for us is that we want to build a business that people believe in and one which delivers the best customer service. I’ve seen too much poor customer service throughout my career, and I’m determined to get it right in my business.” Said James.

James and Mandy recently underwent the onboarding process at DALROD. The week-long event covers a range of different aspects to give new Directors all the tools and knowledge they need to hit the ground running in their respective territories. Throughout the week, the DAL Academy covers CRM, finance, marketing, sales, business growth, health and safety and also looks at the operational aspect of the job, but in a classroom setting. Once this has been completed, James was then ready to embark on a four week on the job training programme with our dedicated operational trainer – Stuart Dane.

“It was a great week. It was fresh; different compared to what I’ve seen and done in the last two years in my previous job. It was interesting to see how a different business does onboarding and I got a lot of value from meeting other service centre directors.” James said.

DALROD Bath & Swindon will be servicing Bath, Swindon, Devizes, Trowbridge, Westbury and surrounding areas.
