THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT FOR DALROD APPRENTICE

Lewis Pereira joined DALROD as part of the Key Accounts team on the 5th of August 2019 and recently celebrated his one year as part of the company.

Lewis is currently studying a level three business administration apprenticeship, whilst also working for DALROD UK.

Lewis had just finished his A-Levels when DALROD advertised for an apprentice just over a year ago. He made the decision that university wasn’t for him and felt as though an apprenticeship, alongside working, was a good choice to ensure he was still learning. He felt that stepping straight from school into a full-time job with no real training was too big of a step, but felt his apprenticeship with DALROD UK was the perfect stepping stone into the world of full-time work.

“I hope the apprenticeship will help me progress in the business with the learning of key skills. Organisation, planning and life skills like time management have also been picked up which can be applied in day to day life as well as in work.” Lewis said.

He’s now just under five months away from completing his apprenticeship and has enjoyed his experiences with the ever-growing drainage company so far.

“It’s been an exciting experience so far. No two days are ever the same, there’s always something different happening every day. I’ve learnt a lot from my colleagues in head office and they’ve been extremely helpful with both my apprenticeship and my job. It’s been challenging at times, but challenges help us grow and it’s something I’ve really enjoyed doing for the past year.” Lewis said.

And Lewis is clear about what he wants to achieve next as the conclusion of his apprenticeship draws ever closer.

I want to continue to support all of our brilliant franchisees and carry on providing the best service possible to our Key Accounts that we possibly can. I’m sure with the help of the team at DALROD UK, we’ll be able to continue keeping our standards at the highest possible level across the board and the company will continue to go from strength to strength.” Lewis concluded.

Congratulations to Lewis for his one year at the business, from everyone at DALROD. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with you for (hopefully) many more years to come!
