DALROD Peterborough held another successful annual golf day at Elton Furze Golf Club in Northamptonshire earlier in September.
Customers, suppliers of DALROD and fellow sponsors of the Peterborough Phantoms Ice Hockey Club came together to play 36 holes of golf throughout the day.
The day kicked off in fabulous DALROD fashion with bacon rolls, tea and coffee, before the golfer’s headed out to the first tee for the individual round of 9 holes. Once back in the clubhouse it was time for lunch and a little networking with the fellow businesses attending the day.
Fed and watered the teams made their way out for an afternoon of 18 holes. Along the course, we had some challenges for the golfers to test their skills, these included the longest drive which was won by Vivacity’s Dan Burns, driving the ball 285 yards, and nearest to the pin which was won by Mark Glessinger who was only 4 feet from the chosen pin.
The evening ended with an awards presentation of the prizes which were generously donated by HD Teamwear, Peterborough Phantoms, Serpentine Green, Sovereign Property Services and JHL. First place went to Ye Olde Abbey with a team score of 89 points and DALROD Sports Ground was the days’ runners up with only one point in it, finishing on 88.
Well done to all teams that participated in the day, we are grateful for your support and we look forward to continuing working with you in the future.
